Mass of Christian Burial was 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, 2023, at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Visitation was 5-7 p.m. with a 7 p.m. vigil service, all at the church. Visitation continued Saturday morning from 9-10 a.m. at the church. Burial is in St. Bonaventure Cemetery.
Norma J. Aikins was born July 5, 1932, in Tarnov, Neb., to Dennis and Clara (Korus) Paprocki. She attended District 60 grade school and graduated from St. Francis High School in 1950. Following graduation, Norma moved to Columbus, where she began working for Becton-Dickinson. She later co-owned Larrell’s Camera and Sound Center and worked at the racetrack as a teller for many years. She was a member St. Anthony Church, St. Michael Historical Society and was a former member of the Nebraska Horse Racing Association. She owned and managed several thoroughbred racing horses over the years. Norma enjoyed horse racing, gardening, fishing with the grandkids on the lake, and football especially the Broncos and Vikings. She loved animals, and fondly welcomed in several stray cats over the years. Norma loved her family
