Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 27, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Platte Center. Visitation is from 9-10:30 a.m. Wednesday, all being held at the Church. Interment is in St. Patrick/Joseph Cemetery.
Maxine V. Sliva was born Oct. 2, 1941 in Humphrey, Neb., to Henry and Louise (Goeckel) Foltz. She was a graduate of Platte Center High School and went on to attend Central Community College. She married Gerald Sliva on May 29, 1962 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Platte Center. Maxine worked for Cornhusker Public Power District in Columbus, Farmer’s Coop in Platte Center, and Central Service Agency in Camp Pendleton, California.
Maxine is survived by: Daughter - Christine Pool Stanwood, Wash.
Son - Steve (Tammy) Sliva Columbus, Neb.
Son - Doug (Gwynn) Sliva Platte Center, Neb.
Grandson - Matthew Pool and fiancé Dhara Patel - Sammamish, Wash.
Grandson - Garrett Sliva (Kelsey Safarik) - Palmer, Neb.
Granddaughter - Kelsey Sliva – Portland, ME Grandson - Nathan Sliva and fiancĂ© Rylee Kwapnioski - Columbus, Neb.
