Robert 'Bob' Mausbach

Robert “Bob” Mausbach, 75, of Phoenix, Ariz., died peacefully in his home Saturday, Jan. 13, 2024 surrounded by his children.

Bob with one “O” was born Nov. 15, 1948, in rural Humphrey, Neb., to Lawrence and Winnie Mausbach (Magsamen). He attended St. Francis Catholic High School in Humphrey Nebraska and then joined the U.S Coast Guard after graduation.

He was formerly married to Kathryn Roberts (Kresha) on September 2, 1972 and together they had four children: Tamara, Jason, Robert and Angela. His family moved to Phoenix, Ariz., in 1981 and resided there until his passing. He was an entrepreneurial man throughout his life. He was always looking for his next endeavor.

His most notable businesses include The Good Times Lounge in Omaha, Neb., Arizona Insurance Mart in Phoenix, Arizona’s Best Painting and home remodeling where he worked until he retired.

Bob was a loving and devoted father and grandfather. He was never selfish with his most valued asset, his time. He loved to be in the kitchen cooking or baking, gardening his flowers, history, and politics. He was known for his lasagna and homemade pies. Bob was a proud and active member in Alcoholics Anonymous for 34 years. He was always trying to help people and believed everyone deserved a second chance.

Bob was survived by his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren: Tamara and Michael Brown, children Alyssa, Matthew, Mikey (Ashley), Kayla (Jimmy) and their 3 daughters ; Jason Mausbach and son Jason Tyler Mausbach; Robert and Lauren Mausbach, children Kayden, Christian, Julia and Jade; Angela and Scott FitzGerald, children Benjamin, Brady, Brett and Blake.

Survived by siblings: Ron (Adella) Mausbach; Brotherin- law Andy (Diane) Peitzmeier; Lee (Gayle) Mausbach; Nick(Donna) Mausbach; Ted (Alberta) Mausbach; Dan ( Debi) Mausbach; Patty (Mike) Gordon; Jane (Bob) Ford; AnnaMae(Jim) Kessler and Larry (Sue) Mausbach. Preceded in death by parents, sisters Helen Peitzmeier and Sharon (infancy).

Service Information

A Celebration of Life open house will be held starting at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 4, 2024, at 2617 E. Cortez St., Phoenix, AZ 85028.

Cremation burial will be at St. Francis Cemetery in Humphrey, Neb., at a later date and time to be determined.
