Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 26, at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Tarnov and Father Stan Schmit celebrated the Mass. Visitation was on Thursday, from 5-7 p.m., and a Vigil Service at 7 p.m. and visitation continued Friday, from 9:30 a.m. until service time, all at the church. Interment was in the parish cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Tarnov Heritage Museum.
Joyce Marie Kudron was born on August 12, 1931, in Columbus, Neb., to Andrew and Mary (Schemek) Jarosz. She attended school at St. Michael’s Catholic School in Tarnov. On April 14, 1953, Joyce was united in marriage to Gervin Kudron at St. Michael’s Catholic Church. She worked for a few years at a shirt factory in Columbus, until her and Gervin opened a bar and dance hall in Tarnov, which they operated together. Joyce enjoyed sewing and baking. She also enjoyed polka music. She was a lifelong member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church.
Joyce is survived by: Daughter: Gail (Gerry) Rosenthal of Fremont, Neb.
Son: Jeff (Angie) Kudron of Tarnov, Neb.
