A Mass of Christian Burial was 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 9, 2024, at Holy Family Church in Lindsay, Neb., abd Father Joseph Miksch and Father Stan Schmit officiated. Interment followed at Holy Family Cemetery, Lindsay, Neb., with Military Rites conducted by Rotherham American Legion Post #261 of Lindsay, Neb., the Army Funeral Honor Guard, and the American Legion Riders. Visitation was 4-7 p.m. Friday at the church with a 7 p.m. wake service.

(Borer) Wiese was born on Sept. 11, 1932, on the family farm north of Lindsay, Neb. Eugene received the sacrament of Baptism and was confirmed at Holy Family Church in Lindsay, Neb. He attended Holy Family school until the 8th grade, at which time he helped his family on the farm.
On Jan. 20, 1953, Eugene was united in marriage to Alice Rose Kyncl at St. Leonard Church in Madison, Neb. A little over a year later, Eugene entered the United States Army. He was active for two years and was stationed in Maryland and then Alaska as a mechanic working on tanks. Eugene also served overseas in Korea for a stint. On Feb. 11, 1956, Eugene was honorably discharged and returned home. Eugene was a hardworking farmer. He enjoyed the farming life and watching his children help by milking the cows.
Eugene will be remembered for his kind heart with the right mix of onery. He would help anyone that needed it and could fix just about anything. Eugene enjoyed listening to and dancing to polka music. Eugene never left home without his Alice by his side. Most importantly, Eugene

loved watching his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren grow and make memories with them.
Eugene is survived by his wife of 71 years Alice Wiese of Lindsay, Neb.; seven children: Julie Garza of North Platte, Neb.; Gary (Amy) Wiese of Lindsay, Neb.; Kenny (Marilyn) Wiese of Newman Grove, Neb.; Dale Wiese of Lindsay, Neb.; Alan Wiese of Newman Grove, Neb.; Kevin (Jenny) Wiese of Newman Grove, Neb.; Larry (Cindi Bader) Wiese of Newman Grove, Neb.; 20 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; 4 greatgreat- grandchildren; brother: Jim (Karen) Wiese of Lindsay, Neb.; sisters: Marian Hamling of Lindsay, Neb.; Dorothy (Carrol) Hemmer of Humphrey, Neb.; Bernice (Bob) Beck of Columbus, Neb.; sister-in-law: Germaine Krueger of Norfolk, Neb.; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
