Louella M. Baumgart, 91, of Madison, Neb., (formerly of Humphrey, Neb.,) died Friday, April 28, 2023, at Arbor Care Center Countryside Nursing Home in Madison.

Glenn W. Swoboda was born July 4, 1935, in Clarkson, Neb., to Joseph and Louis (Naggangast) Swoboda.

Martha B. Sueper, 78 of Lindsay, Neb., passed away Sunday, April 23, 2023, surrounded by her family at the Arbor Care Centers – Countryside in Madison, Neb.

Rita Schumacher, 100, passed away peacefully at Brookstone Acres in Columbus, Neb., April 20, 2023. Mass of Christian Burial is at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 28, at St. Isadore Catholic Church. Visitation is Thursday from 4-6 p.m. with a Vigil Service beginning at 6 p.m. Visitation continues Friday morning in the Church from 9:30 a.m. until Mass at 10:30. Interment is at All Saints Cemetery in Columbus. Her children will serve as her pallbearers.

Thaddeus “Shoes” Swirczek, Jr., age 66 of Columbus, died Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at Emerald Care and Rehab.

Shirley Pfeifer, 71, of Genoa, Neb., died Monday, April 10, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family.

Funeral Services for Larry G. Nathan, age 70, of Humphrey, Neb., was at 10:30 a.m., Friday, April 14, 2023, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Madison, Neb. Reverend Todd Kollbaum officiated. Burial was in St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery in rural Lindsay. Military Honors conducted by the Army National Guard Honor Guard, American Legion Post 35 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5763. Visitation was on Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at the church. Resseguie Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Gerald “Jerry” Swirczek, age 60 of Columbus, died Monday, April 10, 2022.

River Theo Brown, passed away peacefully in his parents arms on April 11, 2023 at CHI Bergan-Mercy Hospital in Omaha. The family has chosen to hold private services.

Nadine Engel, of Columbus, Neb., passed away unexpectedly yet peacefully in her sleep due to bleeding on her brain, most likely caused by a stroke. Nadine has given the greatest gift of all by continuing to give to others. Her family has honored her wishes of being an organ donor so that others may Live On.

Joyce Van Diest passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on her birthday, Saturday, March 25, 2023 (what a wonderful gift) after a 22-year battle with cancer.

Clarine Loseke, 89, of Schuyler, Neb., died Friday, March 17, 2023, at Brookestone Acres in Columbus, Neb.

Oda M. Schneider, 71, of Bradenton, Fla., passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, of complications following heart surgery.
